Gall bladder problems

Now, when we know what gall bladder is and how it functions, symptoms
which we connect to gall bladder, it is time to get to know gall bladder
problems. Gall bladder acts like a storage box for bile, looks like
a pear and it is expendable. It absorbs salts and water.
It discharges bile into the bile duct that leads to duodenum.
Problems with gall bladder can be rather different and they
vary from mild to severe. These problems start with obvious reasons,
like obesity. Other common reasons include heredity, improper eating
habits and irregular diets which are like a shock to your body.
It is still unsure what really causes problems with gall bladder. It
could be mix of all reasons listed above, some hormonal disorder, even
a typical, silly infection.
However, often happens that cause and root of a typical gallbladder
problem is gall bladder stones (medical term Cholelithiasis). Gall
bladder stones or gallstones are a mass which consists of bile, blood,
cholesterol and even calcium.
Gall bladder stones or gallstones are formed in gall bladder and are
floating in bile until they get to small area where they start to cause
problems. Usually problems are even more enhanced with liver problems
and anemia.
Also, if gall bladder stones or gallstones block the way bile is usually going, bile cannot do what is designed to do, and that is breaking fatty food, so body can absorb vitamins. It just worsens problems. It could reduce blood pressure and heart pumping speed.
Except for gall bladder stones, another problem and disease that is
direct product of gall bladder malfunction is jaundice. When you notice
that your skin is turning yellow, it suggest problem with your liver.
With more careful inspection, it indicates problem with your gall bladder.
Except of yellowish skin, eyes get white and following that blood tissue
gets infected.
Always, there is problem of overweight and completely the opposite, rapid weight loss. Lots of women use birth control pills and estrogen which increase cholesterol concentration. When we are talking about woman, it affects more those women who have had children. It is well known that gall bladder problems affect population over 40. A group of people who have more potential to suffer more because of the gall bladder problems are Pima Indians and Mexican - Americans.
Other risk factors that lead to gall bladder problems include: heredity, alcohol intake, low calorie diets, cholesterol lowering and immunosuppressive drugs and diabetes.
